Confidence equals Good Health
How you feel about yourself and what you believe about yourself, directly affects every aspect of your life. The way you conduct your life and treat others is ultimately a reflection of your belief in yourself. I believe most angry, mean or unhappy people just don't feel good about themselves or are unhappy with their life. "Misery loves company." If they can make other people feel bad too, than it's even better. It's sad but true. Most people do it so frequently they're unaware of how it affects others. My automatic response to this type of bad behavior, is that a person is just not content or at peace with themselves. Ask my husband, he's heard me say it a million times! It's easier to understand the behavior and not take it personally. Occasionally, we all have days when we're not feeling so great, we're crabby. That's okay, that's normal and acceptable. When it's a daily occurance or a way of life, then it's a problem. I believe it all comes down to confidence or lack of confidence. Confidence is how certain someone is about who they are and are not afraid to act on it. The official definition of confidence is; a firm belief in one's own powers. Isn't this the truth. If a person doesn't believe they have power over their lives, they're not confident. People must poccess the power to fully live their lives, change their lives if needed, and be themselves, comfortably.
Are you confident in who you are? Does your personality showcase your confidence or lack there of? If you don't have confidence in yourself, just what are you waiting for? Believe me, no one is going to wrap up a box of confidence and give it to you for your birthday! It doesn't work that way, no one can give it to you. This is something you must give yourself. No one controls this but you. If you don't have confidence, get off your rear end and do something about it. Whatever this may mean to you. Do whatever it takes. Maybe it means taking control of your body or your beliefs. Maybe it means getting a new job or finding meaning in your life. Life is too short and will not wait for you! Don't waste another minute.
This is what I believe CONFIDENCE stands for:
C - Control - You must have control of your life. This means you controlling you. Not someone else telling you how to be or what to be. This means acting and thinking for yourself. Focusing on you. It's not healthy to try to control others either.
O - Open - Being open and accepting of situations and people as they come into your life. You'll never know what may inspire you or move you into a new direction, if you're not willing to be open minded. This can help you discover and create the life you've been wanting.
N - Never - Never deny who you are. Be true to who you are, where you come from and where you want to go. Live your unique life. Lead YOUR life and happiness will follow.
F - Fight - Fight for what you believe in. You've all heard the old saying, "if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything." Don't be afraid to show and tell what is important to you.
I - Imagine - Imagine yourself happy. What are you doing when you see yourself happy? Literally put yourself in that life. Take steps daily toward this dream. Even if they're baby steps, they'll add up to something big!
D - Discipline - If you are a disciplined person, you will be successful. You can accomplish anything you put your mind to. Whether it's family, job, or play related, if you are disciplined and work hard, anything is possible.
E - Enjoy - Enjoy your life. Play the cards your dealt. Be fun or be done! Make the most of situations. Challenges are often opportunities in disguise. Enjoy at the brighter side, it sure beats the alternative! And you'll make for better company to those in around you. I'd rather hang out with an optimist over pessimist any day!
N - Negative - No more negative thinking. This is self destructive behavior. No good can ever come of it. Your thoughts become you, you become your thoughts! If you think negatively about yourself, so will others. You teach people how to treat you. They'll learn it from you!
C - Criticism - Don't let criticism bring you down. The only way to not be criticized is to do nothing and be nothing. Hear what other say and decide if it is constructive to you or self satisfying for them. It's been said, "a critic often knows the way but can't drive the car."
E - Experience - Learn from your experience. They're the building blocks of you. This is what separates you from others. Your experiences makes you who you are, good and bad. Choose to grow from them. A healthy person learns from their mistakes and is better for having made them.
CONFIDENCE is the ability to be, not only, okay with who your are, but happy about who you are. It's about celebrating you. What is it that YOU believe to be true about you. Are you confident that you are living your optimal life?. If you have belief and confidence in yourself, there's nothing that you cannot do! Let your confidence grow and shine! After all it is Springtime, everything around you is growing, join in! Plant your personal seeds of happiness and reap the rewards!
